1. Subscribe and Save

Signing up for Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program can save you up to 15% on eligible items. You can select products that you frequently use, set a delivery schedule, and save on the price.

I use this baby all the time for TP, kitty litter, shampoo, vitamins. Then I don’t have to remember to order them or figure out what brands I like. They just show up at my door every month or so.

2. Amazon Coupons

Did you know that Amazon has its own coupon section? You can find discounts on a variety of products, from groceries to electronics. Just clip the coupon and apply it at checkout. This is an easy way to save money.

3. Amazon Warehouse Deals

Looking for a deal on a slightly used or refurbished item? Check out Amazon Warehouse Deals. You can find discounts on open-box, returned, and used items that are still in good condition.

These warehouse deals are perfect for high-ticket items like computers, vacuums, step trackers, all sorts of items. They are my first choice for anything pricey and everything I’ve purchased has been absolutely top rate.

4. Snag the Free Prime Membership Extension

Did you know that Amazon Prime has a delivery window guarantee? If you order through Amazon Prime and it takes longer than 2 days to arrive, you can call Amazon customer service. They will credit your account $10 or extend your Amazon Prime account by a month.

Amazon wants to keep you as a customer, so pay attention to how long it takes for those Prime packages to arrive. It can pay off if they are late. It isn’t often that they are late on Prime deliveries, but it happens, so this could be a sweet deal for you.

5. Lightning Deals

Amazon’s Lightning Deals offer huge discounts on select products for a limited time. Keep an eye on the Lightning Deals section and set up alerts to be notified when new deals become available.

6. Shop the Amazon Outlets Section

Amazon has an outlet store and if you shop through it, you’ll save lots of money. When you shop through Amazon Outlet, you can browse overstocked and clearance items in a variety of different categories.

Browse electronics, art supplies, toys, and even baby and beauty products. These deals will save you anywhere from 30% up to 80%! This is one of the lesser-known Amazon hacks out there.

7. Amazon Family

If you have a baby or young child, sign up for Amazon Family to receive discounts on diapers, baby food, and other baby products. You can also get a 15% discount on your baby registry.

8. Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is an annual event where you can find huge discounts on a variety of products. Mark your calendar and take advantage of the deals. They are starting to have them twice a year now because they’ve been so successful.

This is a great option, so long as you don’t go crazy and buy everything in sight.

9. Use the Honey Extension

Install the Honey browser extension to automatically apply coupons and promo codes at checkout. Honey also compares prices across multiple retailers to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

10. Amazon Gift Cards

Purchase discounted Amazon gift cards from sites like Raise or Gift Card Granny. You can use these gift cards to save money on your Amazon purchases. Sometimes, they will offer a special for free cash if you buy gift cards over a certain amount.

11. Amazon Student

If you’re a college student, sign up for Amazon Student to receive a six-month free trial of Amazon Prime. After the trial, you can get a discounted rate on Prime.

12. Share Your Prime Membership with Your Family

If you have family members who also use Amazon frequently, consider sharing your Amazon Prime account. You can add up to four family members to your account and share benefits like free two-day shipping and streaming access.

13. Apply for the Amazon Credit Card

Consider applying for an Amazon credit card to earn cashback on your Amazon purchases. You can also earn rewards on other purchases and redeem them for Amazon gift cards. If you use this wisely and keep your balance paid down, these rewards can be really helpful.

I alternate between using my Amazon rewards and my Discover rewards. It helps me get a lot of free stuff that way.

14. Take Advantage of Amazon’s Liberal Return Policy

Amazon is better than most places about accepting returns. I don’t take advantage of it, but there are so many items that don’t fit or just don’t work out. But a lot of times, we’re just too lazy or disorganized to actually get the items back.

It’s super easy to return items and sometimes, you don’t have to pay postage or even pack up the items. Lately, they’ve been allowing you to just drop off the item at the UPS store – no packing or anything. You just show them a QR code and it’s DONE.

15. Earn Credit For No-Rush Shipping

If you aren’t in a rush to receive what you ordered, you can earn free credits for digital products on Amazon Prime.

When you are checking out with your cart, select the FREE no-rush shipping instead of the free 2-day shipping. Then, they will send you credits/discounts towards digital Amazon products (like movies!).

Our family saves up our digital product credits for movie nights! We rent a great movie using these credits that isn’t on Netflix or Hulu. It’s a fun family night that we all look forward to (and totally free when we use the credits)!
